I can feel my teeth rotting
As I see a sea of creatives bobbing
I can feel my thoughts growing dull
And I think it’s all this information I’ve been processing
There’s this stabbing pain in my side
And I think it’s all this untethered expression
That’s been fed through a tube shoved down my throat
And I’ve been choking on it for years and I hope
One day they’ll pull the plug
Well my father taught me the charm of indifference
While my mother taught me the beauty of a vice
But this sea of creatives taught me almost nothing
They just sat there dead in the water bobbing

Scum Couch Albany, New York
Scum Couch is the brainchild of drummer and multi-instrumentalist noise maker Mark
O’Brien.
He crafts driving pieces that blend layers of distorted rhythms, textures and stark vocals with an array of other instrumental elements.
It is one of contained chaos, as the massive and distorted rhythmic backbone of the songs undulates beneath flurries of melody and flourishes of chaotic improvisation.
